I write to you from my East Hampton post, fully ensconced and balancing work with three indefatigable daughters craving a day at the beach. To satisfy both, I often find myself taking my show on the road. Much of this issue was conceived and written from underneath a beach umbrella in between ocean plunges – life’s cure all. Every time I run an errand my camera is in hand. Every seaside lunch or girls night or party I attend, I leave having learned or met something or someone new. An invitation from Melissa Biggs Bradley of www.indagare.com to a pop-up souk in Southampton means peddle the metal. A book signing at Bridge Street Gifts on Shelter Island celebrating PARK AVENUE POTLUCK CELEBRATIONS and The Society of Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center’s Kids Kick In program is a ferry hop away. I know I’m not alone. It’s what we all do – keep balls in the air.
I dedicate this issue to summer and the carefree spirit and can-do feeling it brings, to children and their boundless joy and curiosity, and even to the frenetic pace of stretching each sunny day well past dusk. I also want to salute my friend Stephanie Clark. An esteemed photographer, I’ve had the privilege of having her snap shots of my life and that of my family for years. She is regarded for her ability to capture real life so it’s only fitting that she has shot me here in my best office yet. Her mantra is all about making it happen and getting it done. Here, Here!
Thank you for continuing to read CLOVER and for sharing it with friends. We continue to grow and I feel lucky to have such a great group of editors and smarter than smart peers who continue to amaze and inspire. We love hearing from you so, won’t you please be in touch.
All the best,

Chesie Breen
